Let’s Talk Prints: Indigo Print

I am starting a new series #LetsTalkPrints where in I’ll write about a few traditional prints that can act as an asset and will be evergreen no matter what the trend is on. Today’s print is Indigo. More than a print, it’s a dye on which we find different prints. Indigo color is the exact shade of Blue you’d want in your wardrobe. I have used the color in form of Printed Palazzo pants and styled it in three ways so let’s go.

Ethnicity: Palazzo pants have always been a go-to solution when it comes to nailing or carrying off ethnic outfits; becomes easier to style especially when they are printed. All you have to do is have a plain contrast colored kurta. In this case, the paired the indigo Palazzo with a contrasted Green Kurta. Finish the look with heels and add on some touch with earrings and bracelet/bangles.
Formally Informal: This kind of outfit is perfect for office events or even a semi formal day. Khakhi colored kurta adds formal touch to any outfit and makes it a little more formal. As we all know, jewelry also plays an important part in deciding the vibe, you can opt for long heavy neck piece if it’s a party/event or opt for minimal jewelry like just earrings if it’s a regular work day.
Casual Hangouts: Palazzos have always been used as traditional or ethnic pieces. But if you look at it, they also make a good indo-western outfit. Just pair them up with a plain basic t-shirt or tank tops. In this case, I’ve chose white tank top and add chunky jewelry but be careful you don’t over do it. Be clear; either add earrings or just the neck piece. Not both at the same time. Finish the look with sneakers and you are good to go.

Note: In the coming blogs, you may see repeated clothes or pieces. The very reason investing in these prints is useful that they can be worn in different styles and pieces and for various occasions.
